How much does a Cardinal concrete floor coating cost?

Every project is customized to your specific floor — square footage, condition, colors, decorative options. Request a free in-home estimate and we'll measure the space and give you a firm number in 30-60 minutes.

What coating system does Cardinal Concrete Coatings install?

A polyaspartic + polyurea system. Concrete is diamond-ground and profiled first, then a polyurea base coat bonds to the slab, hand-broadcast vinyl flake is added for color and texture, and everything is sealed with a polyaspartic topcoat.

How long does the installation take?

Most residential projects wrap up in a single day of on-site work. Larger commercial projects or extensive prep (cracking, leveling, existing coating removal) can extend that.

How long do I need to stay off my new floor?

Most floors are ready for light foot traffic within a few hours of the final topcoat. We recommend waiting a day before moving heavier furniture back on, and longer for vehicle traffic on driveways. Your installer will give you exact timing at handoff.

How do I care for the coating day-to-day?

Standard sweeping and mopping with warm water or a pH-neutral cleaner. For stubborn spots, a non-abrasive cleaner works fine. No waxing, buffing, or specialty products required.

Will I need to reseal the coating later?

If you follow our simple maintenance and cleaning guidelines, no. The polyaspartic topcoat is the seal — it doesn't wear off the way traditional paints do.

Can the coating be installed over an existing coating?

In many cases, yes. If you have an old coating layer, we can sand, vacuum, and prep the surface first. We'll inspect the existing finish at the estimate to confirm whether it's a candidate for overcoating.

Can Cardinal coatings be used outside?

Yes. We install our polyaspartic + polyurea system on driveways, patios, pool decks, and hot-tub walkways across the Phoenix Valley.

Where can Cardinal coatings be installed?

How does the install process work?

A six-step process: (1) diamond-grind and prep the concrete, (2) repair cracks with 100% solids, (3) apply a self-priming polyurea base coat, (4) hand-broadcast vinyl flake for color and texture, (5) scrape and level, (6) seal with the polyaspartic topcoat.

Do I really need a professional to install this?

For a floor you want to look right on day one and stay looking right, yes. Surface prep, moisture testing, and application technique all matter — and our crews install polyaspartic systems full-time, not as a side project.

What kind of warranty comes with the install?

Every Cardinal Concrete Coatings project comes with our workmanship warranty. Your installer will walk through the exact terms in writing at the estimate and again at handoff.
