Cardinal Concrete Coatings

Premium Concrete Polished Concrete Coating Services

Polished concrete transforms tired slabs into a clean, modern floor. Our multi-step grinding and polishing process brings depth and sheen back to concrete you already own — for homes and businesses across the Phoenix Valley.

Bare concrete is porous, chalky, and hard to keep looking clean. Polished concrete solves that. Our multi-step grinding and polishing process turns the slab you already own into a finished floor with real depth and sheen — a design upgrade for residential and commercial spaces alike.

Cardinal Concrete Coatings polishes concrete floors for homeowners and businesses across Scottsdale, Gilbert, Queen Creek, and the greater Phoenix Valley.

What We Offer

Concrete Floor Polishing

Our multi-step grinding, smoothing, and polishing process — using a heavy-duty concrete-polishing machine with diamond polishing pads — reworks the top layer of the slab and finishes it to a high sheen.

Concrete Coloring

Elevate a polished floor with color or stain application. Our concrete dyes are non-reactive and penetrate the surface for a rich, even finish. Standard color options include Black, Gray, and Brown, plus custom decorative options like grids, borders, bands, and radial lines.

Concrete Grinding & Smoothing

Older industrial floors get uneven from years of forklift traffic, dropped tools, and neglect. Our grinding and smoothing service reworks the surface so it's flat and finished before the polish goes on.

Concrete Leveling

Leveling is one of the first steps in every polishing project. Flattening the slab up front gives the polish something clean to work with — the floor looks better and installs faster.

The Cardinal 6-Step Process

  1. Profile, repair & vacuum the concrete surface to prepare it for the coating system.
  2. Patch cracks with 100% solids to seal any damage in the flooring.
  3. Apply a self-priming polyurea base coat that bonds to the slab.
  4. Broadcast polymer flake generously by hand for even color and texture across the floor.
  5. Scrape off excess flake to level the surface and prepare it for the topcoat.
  6. Seal with a polyaspartic topcoat. Most residential floors are ready for light foot traffic in a few hours; heavier furniture the following day.

Why Homeowners & Businesses Choose Cardinal for Polishing

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about polished concrete from Cardinal Concrete Coatings customers.

How much do your polished concrete floors cost?
Pricing depends on square footage, the condition of the existing slab, and any color or decorative work you want. Every quote is customized — request a free in-home estimate and we'll walk your space and give you a firm number in 30-60 minutes.
What does a finished polished concrete floor actually look like?
A smooth, semi-glossy floor with real depth. Standard finishes come in Black, Gray, or Brown; decorative options include grids, borders, bands, and radial lines. We bring physical samples to the estimate so you can see the exact finish before you decide.
How long does the installation take?
Most typical residential and light commercial jobs take between 5 and 10 hours of on-site work depending on square footage. Complex prep work — extensive crack repair or leveling — can extend that.
How long do I need to stay off my new floor?
Most floors are ready for light foot traffic within a few hours of the final topcoat. We recommend waiting a day before moving heavier furniture back on. Your installer will give you the exact timing for your project at handoff.
What kind of warranty comes with the install?
We back every polished concrete project with our workmanship warranty. Your installer will walk through the exact terms in writing at the estimate and again at handoff.
How do I care for my polished concrete floor?
Standard sweeping and mopping with warm water or a pH-neutral cleaner. No waxing, buffing, or specialty products required.
Can polished concrete be installed over an existing coating?
In many cases, yes. If you have an old coating or paint layer, we can sand, vacuum, and prep the surface first. We'll inspect the existing finish at the estimate to confirm it's a candidate for overcoating.
Can polished concrete be used outdoors?
Yes. We install polished and coated concrete for driveways, patios, and pool areas across the Phoenix Valley. Your installer can walk you through which finish is right for the space.
Do I really need a professional for this?
For a floor you want to look right on day one and stay looking right, yes. Surface prep, moisture testing, and application technique all matter — and our crews polish concrete full-time, not as a side project.
